Mineral harness between 6-8 on Mohs Scale. Does not contain calcite which is the mineral that reacts with acids which causes erosion and etching. Recommended to reseal every 3-5 years, could be more often if exposed to the elements. Typically shows signs of wear and tear after 5-15years. Granite can be refinish with diamond abrasives’. Do not cut directly on granite. No hot pans difference in temperature may cause stone to crack or pop.
