man made 90% Quartz 10% resin that holds it together with polymers and pigments. Just as hard as granite. Not pores, surface does not require sealing. Will eventually scratch. Any hot surface will cause damage. Cannot be refinished. Removing scratches can be done but it will not have its original factory finish.
